Grasping Our Worth To Glimmer God's Light

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord. Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. Ephesians 5:8-11

Do you know how to determine how much something is worth? We can determine something’s worth by how much someone is willing to pay for it. 

Jesus paid for you with his very own life. Because of this reason, we are priceless in God’s sight. We are daughters of the King. We are the Lord’s chosen priesthood, his royal nation, his holy possession, his beloved (1 Peter 2:9).

We were made to declare the praises of him who called us to walk in bright light. We are ambassadors of Christ, created to sing sweet melodies of God’s glory, grace, and might.

Our lives have been custom-designed to reflect God’s image, to radiate Christ’s love. Because Jesus paid it all, we are far more precious than sapphires, rubies, and emeralds. We have been purposed to exude God’s splendor through the way we live our lives.

By knowing our worth and value has been officiated by the cross, we point others to Jesus. By living from the source of God’s love and abiding in God’s Word, we sparkle and reflect the light of Christ. The world notices our sparkle, because it is different from the sparkly things of this world. It is much more beautiful, and people want this sparkle for themselves.

You are a princess of the King. You are a daughter of the Prince of Peace. You are an heir of The Bread of Life. Let your light shine in honor of Jesus who declared your worth by laying down his very own life.

The torture Jesus endured on the cross was not in vain. You have a crucial role to play: live from the source of knowing your worth is found in Christ alone. Live from the source of God’s love that is alive in you. Let it overflow out of your heart. Let it run down the sides of your life. Declare the praises of God who has called you out of darkness into his glimmering light!

Dear Jesus,

I come before you Father, declaring my love and adoration of you. To you be all praise. To you be all honor. To you be all extolment, forever.

Thank you for creating me special. Thank you for creating me unique. Thank you for creating me beautiful. Thank you for creating me yours. I love you Jesus. Help me to reflect, sparkle, and glimmer your brilliant light to a world locked in darkness. Help me to live knowing that I am loved fully. In Jesus’ lovely name, amen.
