Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. Colossians 3:23-24
Sometimes I feel like my world around me is spinning. I get overwhelmed in motherhood and in life. My toddler’s business does not stop. My four year old’s questions are an endless waterfall. My nine month old’s need to be fed and looked after with acute care does not end. The dishes continue to need cleaning, the laundry keeps on coming, and hungry bellies require my cooking. No the world does not stop spinning, but through Christ, we can have hope and joy throughout our days.
When the tempest sweeps in and the demands of life batter you without end, remind your heart of these simple truths:
I am unique. (Psalm 139)
I am loved. (John 3:16)
I am chosen. (1 Peter 2:9)
I am washed. (1 Corinthians 6:11)
I am sanctified. (1 Corinthians 6:11)
I am justified. (1 Corinthians 6:11)
I am covered in God’s grace. (Ephesians 2:8)
I am carried by Christ’s strength. (2 Corinthians 12:9)
Let the current of Christ’s love and grace carry you out of the storm.
Remember, you are doing a good job Mama.
Motherhood is not always easy, but if we approach it as if we are working for the Lord, it will be rewarding.
Jesus loves you. Remember his truths in your life.
Dear God,
Please give me your peace, strength, and joy today. Help me to have grace for myself along the way. I love you dearly. Please calm my anxious heart. Cover me with your grace as a mom and remind me of your truths. In Jesus’ worthy name, amen.
